Summer 2025 
 
Much of the work on the Learning Commons this summer took place underground, with a focus on utilities and site grading. Here is an overview of what was accomplished:

• Georgia Power completely rewired the campus with a new loop of power lines. This improvement is expected to help resolve past power issues and reduce surges.

• The gas meter that once sat prominently in front of the campus store was relocated so it no longer obstructs the view of the Learning Commons. During the week without gas, we were especially grateful to Christina Dolby and her Sage team for creatively providing lunches for summer camp in other ways.

• The retaining wall was completed for both the relocated gold playground and the new parking spaces behind the Learning Commons.

• The Learning Commons foundation wall footings, wall forms, and concrete pours were finished.

• Building 300 was outfitted with interior spaces and ramps to prepare for the relocation of Lower School Arts, Lower School Science, and the Lower School Cottage Conference Room before the start of school.

• Move-in day to Building 300 took place, and Lower School Arts, Lower School Science, and the Lower School Cottage Conference Room are now settled into their new spaces.

• The gold playground was reinstalled in its new location with a pour-in-place rubber surface. Thanks to additional campaign gifts, this new playground location also features shade structures.
